introducing the Impact XPU Skateboard deck

Ready to take your skate game to the next level? Say hello to our cutting-edge XPU technology skateboard deck, crafted with passion, precision, and durability in mind.

At the heart of our philosophy lies a pursuit of perfection. We want to make this deck the highest performing skateboard deck in the world. That’s why we currently produce only limited batches, ensuring each iteration of the Impact skateboard deck undergoes rigorous testing and refinement. All this is guided by invaluable feedback from our passionate skateboarding community.

Impact Deck Version 1.4 have just launched!

impact 1.4 baner2 100

What’s New? Version 1.4 introduces an enhanced design compared to Version 1.3, featuring more orange PU over the trucks. This update significantly improves durability in that area and adds only 50 grams, bringing the total weight to 1.29 kg for the 8.0″ deck—still impressively light compared to classic skateboards. These improvements were driven by feedback from some of the most skilled and fearsome skaters we know. Read more about the development process on our blog.

What sets impact skateboard deck apart?

Dedication, hard work, sweat, and advanced technologies. This is what we’ve managed to achieve so far:

2x Durability

We know you push your gear to the limit, so we’ve engineered this deck to be twice as tough as standard maple boards. No more worrying about cracks, snaps, or delam mid-session – our deck’s got your back, because we’ve been there, too.

Impact Proof

Tired of decks breaking under your feet? The Impact XPU deck is here to change that. Make the biggest drops with confidence, knowing that this deck will withstand the impact every time. No need to worry about the positioning of your feet—our deck is built to hold strong, no matter what.

Ultimate Performance

Ever wished for smoother slides and bigger pops? Say no more. Our deck delivers 2x longer slides and longlasting snappy pop. We’ve kissed waxing goodbye – our decks surface is ready to slide longer and smoother right out of the box without need of waxing. Tested and proven by riders like you.

Innovative Construction

What’s under the hood? A badass combo of vertically laminated wood, carbon fibers, glass fibers, and impact-proof polyurethane sidewalls. Yeah, it’s couple of components to keep together, but trust us, it’s what makes this deck a beast on the streets.

100% Chips & Water proof

Skating through puddles? Hitting some curbs? No problem. Our deck laughs in the face of chips and water damage. Rain or shine, this baby stays solid.

No BS, just the real deal. We are putting this deck through the wringer so you can trust it’ll stand up to whatever you throw at it. Because at the end of the day, we’re skaters just like you, and we wouldn’t put our name on anything less than legit.

This is an incredible product. Produced by a team that are constantly doing what they can to improve it. It feels like a maple skateboard to skate, but it's so cool to fling your board and know it's going to be fine. As tough as a vx or flight, but razor tails in half the time and takes no damage to the sides like both of those do. It is also lighter. I have skated a lot this last month on it and the bumpers are still in perfect condition. There was a bit of an issue with the wood damaging around the bumper, but the guys at impact are already on it! I will keep buying them as long as they keep making them 👍

A Deck with a clearly better pop than classic decks. When it comes to durability, so far the polyurethane has only worn off a little, which is rather normal (automatic translation from Polish)

  1. I was really excited to get the 1.4. Reading reviews and hearing about it I thought I was going to have the best time with it.
In reality it seems clunky and dull to ride. It lacks that new board “pop” feeling, in fact it just seems to lack where other boards provide.
I didn’t get the feeling of “twice the pop” at all.
I had to try a couple of different set ups with it to see if I could get it feeling right …………. but then it dawned on me. If I’m having to try different trucks and wheels to get it feeling right what did I spend all that money on.
In short I tried it and didn’t think it was great. I can buy a $50 board and get a way better experience.
I literally had 3 sessions on this to know it’s not worth the hype.

What I did like, its got good balance points for manuals, other than that other boards just feel better.

    • Hi Rob,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We’re sorry to hear that the 1.4 deck didn’t meet your expectations. We understand that deck preference is highly personal, and not every deck will suit every rider’s style or feel.

It sounds like the mellower tail on the 9.0 size may have played a role in the difference you felt, especially if you’re used to steeper decks. While “twice the pop” isn’t a core claim of ours, what we do aim for is durability and consistency in pop over time. Many skaters have shared that they get months of solid performance compared to the shorter lifespan of traditional decks, which can chip, loss their pop, or wear out quickly.

We genuinely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving. We hope you’ll give our decks another shot in the future. If you have any further questions or would like recommendations on different sizes or setups, feel free to reach out.

      Best regards,
      The Impact Skateboard Team

  2. Great quality, it has fallen on vert ramp many times, than in the concrete skatepark and there are no chips or anything.

Q & A

when you are measuring the length, are you going tip to tip, or pressing the measuring tape down to match the concave? ymcmb asked on 15/10/2024

We are measuring the length of the skateboard going tip to tip in a straight line, as it gives us more standarized measurements.

The wood part of the construction - is this made up of ply? How many layers are there? Or is it a different construction to normal ply and composite boards Rob asked on 16/09/2024

The wood part of the Impact XPU skateboard deck is not made up of traditional plies. It is a vertically laminated wooden core, where multiple horizontal layers (plies) are glued together. This means it doesn't have a set number of plies like standard decks. Additionally, the deck incorporates carbon fibers, glass fibers, and a Slidey "FlowSlick" layer, all bonded together using epoxy resin during high-pressure lamination (HPL). So, its construction is different from both normal ply and typical composite boards.

I thought I saw it came with griptape somewhere, does it? Brian asked on 09/07/2024

We've found that many skateboarders have their preferred grips and weren't always using the included one. Griptape in now offered as a separate product. If you’d like to get it with your deck, you can easily add it to your order.

How steep are the kicks? And how many fingers of flat between the bolts and the kicks? Apologies for more questions I tend to obsess over dimensions. I currently skate a Santa cruz vx and wondered how this would compare in steepness. Liam B asked on 18/06/2024

Hello Liam. I would describe both tails as medium steep, with an approximate angle of 19 degrees. There is a flat section of about 2 fingers' width between the bolts and the kicks. Although I couldn't find specific angle measurements for NHS decks, I believe their tails are steeper.
