The 1.6 version keeps the same construction but is pressed in a new mold with an updated concave. While the concaves depth stays the same, the shape has changed:
– 1.5 used a full radial concave
– 1.6 introduces a more progressive curve with a slightly flatter center and steeper sides. Both tails and nose are steep.

The Standard shape follows the industry norm — it has a slightly longer nose than tail, which gives you a bit more control riding forward.

The Twin shape has a symmetrical nose and tail, making it perfect for switch skating and balanced board feel in both directions.

IMPACT XPU Lite – Same DNA, Friendlier Price

Built for everyday skaters who want Impact toughness without the flagship price tag. XPU Lite keeps the core composite recipe that makes our decks last, but swaps the carbon layer for extra fiberglass to deliver a familiar maple-like snap at a cost that’s lighter on your wallet.

What Makes XPU Lite Different?

Feature XPU Lite Flagship XPU 1.6
Weight (8.25″) ≈ 1.40 kg (still lighter than many 7-ply maple decks) ≈ 1.28 kg
Reinforcement Fiberglass-heavy lay-up – no carbon Carbon + fiberglass hybrid
Stiffness / Pop Feel Medium-stiff – a touch more flex for that classic bounce Extra-stiff, ultra-crisp pop
Durability 8–10× maple lifespan (same sidewalls, same FlowSlick base) 8–10× maple lifespan
Price Most affordable Impact deck Premium

Why You’ll Love It

  • Wallet-Friendly Entry Point
Get Impact’s lab-proven razor-tail resistance and chip-proof sidewalls at our lowest price.

  • Maple-Familiar Flex
The carbon-free lay-up softens the feel just enough to mimic a fresh 7-ply—perfect if you like a little give under heavy landings.

  • Still Tough as Nails
Polyurethane sidewalls & FlowSlick base stay 13× more abrasion-resistant than standard maple, so curb rash and puddles are a non-issue.

  • Balanced Weight
At ~1.40 kg the Lite sits on the lighter side of traditional decks, keeping your shove-its quick and your ollies high without the premium carbon cost.

  • Eco-Mindful Build
Fewer exotic materials, same long lifespan—meaning less waste and more skating.

Construction Breakdown

  • Vert-lam wooden core – lightweight strength

  • Multi-axis fiberglass stack – replaces carbon while maintaining pop retention

  • Impact-proof PU sidewalls – 13× razor-tail resistance

  • FlowSlick bottom layer – longer and smoother, wax-free slides

Choose XPU Lite If …

  • You want Impact durability but can skip the aerospace carbon price.

  • You prefer a slightly mellower flex that still pops hard.

  • You’re ready for a deck that survives months of abuse without feeling like a brick—or draining your budget.

Ride longer. Spend less. Meet the Impact XPU Lite.

No difference in weight or flexibility with the expensive one

I’ve been skating this heavy since I got it not because I liked it but because I was trying to get used to the shape which I couldn’t manage to do the nose and tail are way too steep for me and honestly that makes or breaks a board for me. Which means when you go to pop it’s so delayed that it cause ghost Ollie’s or no pop Ollie’s which effects the rest of your flip tricks. I’m giving it a 3 out of 5 because it’s too heavy and it’s too concave. The nose and tail being so steep really ruined this experience for me. That being said. Whatever it is made out of is mind blowing. This thing is crazy strong and slides beautifully. I wish could actually enjoy skating it but this shape is so off but that’s just my personal experience. Others might love the shape and give it a 5/5 and I would completely understand.

    • Thanks a ton for the honest, detailed take! Shape is super personal – it can make or break a setup. Our current mold has deeper concave and steeper nose/tail, and we get that it won’t click for everyone. Stoked you felt the strength and how it slides – that’s exactly what the construction is meant to deliver.

We’re working on a mellower option – lower kicks and a flatter, more relaxed concave – for skaters who prefer earlier, more immediate pop. If you’re down, drop us a DM or email and we’ll keep you in the loop and help match you with a shape that fits your skating. Thanks again for pushing the deck hard and sharing real feedback – it helps us build better boards.
