Impact XPU Deck 1.4: Fresh Upgrades and Sizes!

We are thrilled to announce the release of the Impact XPU Skateboard Deck version 1.4! This latest iteration comes after rigorous testing by some of the most fearless and skilled skateboarders in our community. Their invaluable feedback has driven us to make significant improvements, ensuring that our decks remain at the forefront of performance and durability.

Addressing Unexpected Damage

During testing, we received reports of damage occurring in an unexpected area—above the trucks. This was surprising, as this section is typically well-protected by the trucks, wheels, and tails, which absorb most of the impact energy. Determined to address this issue, we conducted a thorough investigation and found a solution that enhances the deck’s durability even further.

Changes in Polyurethane amount

To combat the damage, we added more of our special juicy impact-proof polyurethane formula to the area. This adjustment has significantly improved the deck’s resilience, ensuring it will no longer gets damaged in this area. However, this change came with a slight trade-off.

Since polyurethane is denser and heavier than wood, replacing part of the wooden core with polyurethane resulted in a slight weight increase of about 50 grams for the 8.0 deck. Despite this, the deck’s overall weight remains at impressive 1.29 kg, maintaining its edge over traditional skateboards. Rest assured, we are continually striving to optimize weight and performance in future versions.

New Sizes: 8.75 and 9.0 Decks Coming Soon!

We are also excited to announce that our new 8.75 and 9.0 decks are almost ready for release! We are currently finalizing the mold, and these new sizes will soon be available for purchase in our store. Stay tuned for updates on their availability.

Looking Ahead: What’s Next?

Our journey of impact development doesn’t stop here. We have several exciting plans in the pipeline:

• Core Improvements: We are exploring new ideas for enhancing the core of our decks. If these tests prove successful, you can expect further improvements in Impact XPU decks.
• Higher Concave Decks: Many of you have requested decks with a higher concave, and we are listening. Work on these designs is already underway, aiming to provide you with more options to suit your skating style.
• Artist Collaborations: We are in talks with some incredible artists from the skateboarding community. We are hopeful that these collaborations will bring unique and stunning graphics to our decks, making each one a true work of art.
