Impact XPU 1.5 version – Final version?
We are thrilled to officially introduce the Impact XPU deck v1.5! While it’s been available in our shop for a while, we’ve taken our time to refine every detail based on rigorous testing and user feedback. Today, we’re proud to share what’s new and why we believe this version is our best yet.
With the improved durability and performance upgrades, we’re confident that this version will bring us out of the Beta phase and onto the forefront of innovation in skateboard deck design.
Why the Wait?
We know it took longer than expected, but perfection takes time! Testing revealed a few areas needing improvement, and we refused to settle for anything less than excellence. The feedback from heavy riders and impact trick specialists highlighted weak spots in version 1.4, giving us a challenge to improve the decks durability even more.
Key Improvements in Version 1.5
Durability Against Breakage
In version 1.4, breakage reports came from two specific use cases:
- Heavy Riders: Applying significant pressure on the deck.
- Repetitive High-Impact Tricks: Like drops and gaps, stressing the decks structure.
The issue stemmed from our production method that, while innovative, inadvertently introduced weak spots. Identifying and solving this was no small task. However, through extensive redesign, we’ve successfully eliminated these vulnerabilities.
Revamped Production Process
Our production process underwent a complete overhaul. Although we can’t share all the details (We wish we could – trade secrets!), this new method preserves the deck’s signature shape and flex while enhancing structural integrity.
Shape, Flex, and Weight
Beyond fixing weak spots, we made subtle but impactful adjustments:
- Slightly Deeper Concave: Enhances control and trick precision.
- Weight Reduction: 20 grams lighter than version 1.4, making it more responsive without sacrificing durability.
1.5 version was already thoroughly tested, and we’ve received glowing feedback – more about feedback bellow.

The only thing left for you to bring is your technique and mindset!
What’s Coming Next?
We’ve heard your requests for specific widths, and we’re listening! Our next focus is on creating molds for 8.5+ decks, while also working to fill the gaps between the width options currently available on our website.
